At Eyes on Derry we do LASIK co-management with different refractive laser centres, taking care of the pre-operative and post-operative visits. To note: specialists at their respective laser centres perform the laser surgery.

Many Ontario insurance companies have added eye examinations and eyewear to their coverage. It is advised to check your policy to find out the extent of your coverage but we would be happy to help you to find the insurance coverage.

Children (ages 0 - 19 years old) - One full eye examination is OHIP covered yearly for this age group, plus minor examinations for emergencies such as eye infections, eye injuries, headaches, etc.
Adults (ages 20 - 64 years old) - Patients with Diabetes, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Retinal disease, Corneal disease, Amblyopia, Strabismus, or visual field loss are OHIP covered for an eye examination once per year with follow-up visits as deemed necessary by the optometrist.
Seniors (ages 65 years old and up) - One full eye examination is OHIP covered yearly for this age group, plus minor exams for emergencies such as eye infections, eye injuries, headaches, etc.
